Our Impact | 2022-2023 School Year
- Since the Fall of 2020, GEAR UP New Mexico (GUNM) has supported over 12,000 7th – 12th grade students and their families with college and career readiness support across 15 middle and high schools.
- GUNM participants from the class of 2022 were statistically 1.4 times more likely than non-participants to enroll in college.
- Among the class of 2022, students who enrolled in college participated in significantly more hours of GEAR UP New Mexico activities than students who did not enroll in college.
- In a 2022-2023 exit survey of 1,200 juniors and seniors, 64% of students from the class of 2023 plan on pursuing education after high school graduation.
- GEAR UP New Mexico students planning on pursuing a bachelor’s degree after high school had statistically higher college-going self-efficacy than those with other plans.
